All cooperatives' Bylaws require an Annual Meeting of Members to be held once a year. Dakota Energy Cooperative's Annual Meeting date is set by the Board of Directors annually. Attending the annual meeting is a great way to participate in your cooperative.

The Annual Meeting is your chance to meet the Board of Directors and cooperative staff and learn about Dakota Energy Cooperative's plans, member benefits, and service programs.

Directors serve on the Board for three-year terms. Each year, the membership votes for three of the nine director positions. Any member who meets the qualifications set in the Bylaws can run for a director position in their district.
