Apply for electric service at a location with an existing service
- You must complete the Membership Application and email to info@dakotaenergy.coop or bring it to the office.
- You will be asked to pay a deposit* (deposit can be paid by cash, check or money order).
All new accounts require a completed application with a signature.
Our offices are located at 40294 US Highway 14, Huron or 1003 N Broadway Ave, Miller. Walk-in office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

*The deposit may be waived based on payment history from your previous electric utility provider.
Apply to establish electric service at a location that does not have a meter
- You must complete the Membership Application and email to info@dakotaenergy.coop.
- You will be asked to pay a deposit* (deposit can be paid by cash, check or money order).
- You will need to complete the New Construction Service Form and email to info@dakotaenergy.coop or bring it to the office.
All new accounts require a completed application with a signature.
