New Faces at Dakota Energy
Three new employees have recently been hired at Dakota Energy.The Operations Department hired Tayler Wipf as an apprentice lineman/electrician. He will receive dual training for his position. As an apprentice lineman, Tayler will work with the linemen crew learning the operations side of the cooperative like building, maintaining and troubleshooting the line side of the cooperative. He will also train in the member services department of the cooperative working with the electricians. Tayler graduated from Mitchell Technical Institute with a degree in Power Line Construction and Maintenance. The second employee hired was Jared Rakness. He will fill the position of information technology specialist. Technology for the cooperative is a constantly changing priority, Jared will learn to manage and maintain all of the Cooperative’s software and hardware systems. Jared is a graduate of Dakota State University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree and a Master’s of Science degree in Computer Science. Amy Kempf began her new position as the Member Services Assistant on Nov. 1st. She is a welcome addition to the Member Services Department. Amy will be handling all of the calls for information, scheduling of jobs and more. She recently worked for an electric contracting business.
